Canvas Corp will soon be publishing a plethora of 4 x 4 canvases, uniquely created by each of their design team members. Since the canvases are supposed to reflect the designers in some way, I decided to create a vintage circus meets industrial canvas.
Tutorial How to create Mixed Media Big Top 4 x 4
Step 1 Die cut stars from corregated cardstock.
Step 2 Spritz Shade and Pink from the Tattered Angels Rusty Metal Kit onto 4 x 4 canvas and stars, letting it pool. Dry with heat gun.
Step 3 Use a brush to add Pewter from the kit in a veining pattern. Repeat several times to give shade and depth.
Step 4 Apply light layers of Shade.
Step 5 Add Camel from kit along the vein lines. Dry using a heat tool close enough to cause bubbling.
Step 6 Using a matte medium adhere custom made transfer tape, big top cut out and 7gypsies elements.
Step 7 Fussy cut images, ink edges and adhere elements canvas.
