Tag someone sweet with this mixed media Valentine

 

Have you completed all your Valentines cards yet? Don’t run out and buy those perforated factory-made cheapos just yet. You still have time to stun someone special with a dazzling creation.

And if they don’t ooh and ahhh with enough appreciation? Well then you can retaliate by keeping all the chocolate for yourself.

Tutorial how to make a mixed media Valentine tag.

First, cover a manilla tag with black gesso and dry with a heat gun.

Emboss the tag using an embossing folder.

Sprinkle Hot Cinnamon Primary Elements on tag and spritz with water.

Use a Valentine stamp to stamp embossing ink onto tag. Add seafoam white embossing powder and activate with heat gun.

Spray the heart area of the tag with Pink Grapefruit Radiant Rain.

Trim excess part of tag bottom that did not get embossed.

Apply crackle paste to a photo slide and a wooden heart embellishment. Let paste dry naturally for best crackle effect.

Spray crackle slide with a matte polyurethane finish to seal the paste. After it dries, use a watercolor brush to paint heart with Pink Anthrum, Rose Gold and Hot Cinnamon Primary Elements. Outline edge of heart with black marker.

Then spray the crackle slide with Sweet Whisper and Autumn Leaf Radiant Rains. Use these same sprays on a piece of sheer ribbon. Let Dry.
